73" cessna

I have found a supplier that can ship this to the states as a rtf. There is a minimum order of 4 pieces and need some other persons that are interested. Please contact me if you would like one of these.

Did you get it? pw-rc.com doesn't list it there now. So if he did have it, it wasn't for long. He used to sell the EDO Model 59" wing Cessna (HK still does), that came with floats, and made of EPS. You didn't by chance mistake that one for this plane did you?

Maiden was done on sunday, in quite a bit of wind (6-7 m/s), but she was an exellent flyer! Very stable and predictable. Since I was finished with the build at 4am, I didn't put on any decals - so no video and not even a photo..
But look forward to get yours airborne!! =)

I've just started the building, so i will post sone pics soon

When i order stuff from ebay or others from US, it usually takes between 1-2 weeks. Guess it will take the same the other way. Depends on customs and where in US. This company usually ships whithin 24 hours after you placed the order.
These floats look like the same ones that "sometimes" comes with the smaller Cessna 60.5" , I say "sometimes" cause mine from Hobbit City didnt and I had to read the riot act to get em.......anyway I shouldnt have bothered cause these foam floats are absoulte GARBAGE....the step is way too far forward and the chines are ROUNDED .......they need a LOT of work to get them where they work.....AND they wood B too Small for this bigger Cessna
ask me how I know............

Ian

I'm glad that your maiden was successful !

It's simply too dark here now to fly, so my maiden will have to wait until next month.

What motor did you end up using ?

Thanks, always excited with maiden, and specially since this is the biggest plane (so far).
I used the mystery brand (from crashed giant foam yak) 3740 500kv motor with 6S 3300 mAh and 14x7 prop. Didn't measure watts now, but i think it was just above 1kW and around 45 Amps WOT on the Yak.
More than enough power, flew on around 50% the whole flight.

Have to try and get the decals on and fly more this weekend - if it ever stops snowing!
And maybe hire a cameraman so I can get a video of it.

Ok, that's great. Snow ? You live a lot farther south than me, and there's not much snow here - yet.. Crazy climate change, I guess. If that's the case, I don't mind

Edit : Since I wrote that some five hours ago, we now have like 10 cms of fresh white stuff on the ground here
