Here's a link to the floats they've used in the pics: http://www.throttlestore.com/plane_a...).aspx?lang=EN

I've just started the building, so i will post sone pics soon

When i order stuff from ebay or others from US, it usually takes between 1-2 weeks. Guess it will take the same the other way. Depends on customs and where in US. This company usually ships whithin 24 hours after you placed the order.

I wouldn't worry about the shipping time too much. Expect about 2wks. Besides, this is the only place willing to ship it to US right now anyways.

Just started the building. Everything seems to fit very well. Didn't have much time yesterday, but i got the elevator servos installed. I will do as suggested: install the rudder and elevator servos in the tail rather than inside the fuse... The angle on the pushrods is a bit wrong, but it seems to work out nice.

The pics are taken with my cell phone, so the quality isn't that good... But i will use my digital camera in the future

Here are some more updates... Rudder servo is installed, so the stab and the fin are ready to be glued to the fuse. Need some cable extension first. Got tired of installing servos so i put on the landing gear. A bit tricky at first, but i got the hang of it The weelpants are tight, so it would be smart to carve out some epo before installng the weels. As you can see on the last pic, the angle on the weels is a bit off, but maybe it will get better when more weight is added to the plane.

More servos, motor and esc is on the way from hobbycity, so there's not very much to do until then. But i'll get back as soon as i've done more.

Finally some more progress. Got some parts from hobbycity the other day. Stab and fin are glued on to the fuse and the nosewheel servo is installed. Still waiting for some servocable extensions, guess i'll have them tomorrow. Will finish the main wing then.

Did they say they would ship it for the price quoted on the web site? The more I see this plane the more I want one!

Below is the email response I got from them (Throttle Store). My message is at the bottom. It sounds like that is what he is saying--he'll ship it for 30 euros:

Hi Sir
Dont worry. This item will be shipped as normal to US for the rate stated at our website. The box of this model is not that big. It's a bit long, but we have shipped many of these all over the world.

For the conversion 1 dollar is today 0.78 euro

Best regards

Hans

Subject: Fraktpriser: Shipping to USA

Hello,

I'm interested in the "Cessna Skyline 182 EPO 189 Giant RR" This is the 1.8 meter wing span (very large scale). However, I'm concerned about the shipping. Will you be able to ship this to the USA for the shipping that is quoted (30 euros)? Would there even be a carrier that would handle that size?

Also, as for the cost conversion, would the cost be whatever the market rate is at?

Thank you.

Thanks for the info. So for about $300 I could get the Radio Ready version. Man so tempting. Perhaps Santa will bring me one.

Can you check how it is sparred?
What are they using for spars and how long are they?
I've seen wing fold up on large foamies before.

Since you're a retailer why don't you get some so we don't have to order from overseas
