FSS Soaring Contest #6 will be held on Saturday, September 11th, and Sunday, September 12th, at Kennyworld, west of Ocala, Florida.

A couple of differences that we're tentatively planning for this contest, as opposed to last May's Kennyworld contest, are:

1. No honors callup. All rounds will be Open Winch, because:
   • Honors callup tends to cause extra delays between rounds, and...
   • We might fall behind in scorekeeping because we're a little understaffed this time.
2. Instead of "runway" type landing zones, this time we'll have circular landing zones with landing tapes.

Kennyworld is located at 17150 SE 60th St, Morriston, FL 32668 on the south side of the road.

Starting time is 10:00 AM on Saturday and 9:00 AM on Sunday, with pilot's meetings 15 minutes before the starting times. The flying site, which is the home of the One Wing Low Squadron, is provided by Kenny Goodwin. The contest will be run by the Pompano Hill Flyers with equipment generously provided by The Orlando Buzzards.

The nearest hotels are at Exit 354 of Interstate 75. The contest site is a 20 mile drive from there.

This is one of the treasures of Florida Soaring. If you haven't been to a soaring contest in Florida - then this would be one to check out. What a great weekend, at a great soaring location with a bunch of fine folks. Let the fun begin!

It'll be great just to get together with the Orlando Buzzards again, as well as all of the other fliers who make the pilgrimage.
