Does the port look like it would take a servo plug? If so it is probably for a USB computer connection for downloading upgrades.

Greg, I have the 0606i and like it too.

As suggested above, that port is for data transfer to a PC. You will need to buy some extra bits and pieces (cables, interfaces, etc) to use it. I did buy those and it all works well enough but I haven't used it much. The 0606i firmware is not user upgradeable (as it is with some other Hyperion chargers) so the port is for data transfer only.

That third screen in the NiMH menu is for the charge/discharge cycling that can be done with the 0606i. It is documented in the manual, but not very clearly. See the attached marked-up manual page. The numbers (1 to 5) let you select the number of cycles you want. You can also set other things like charge and discharge currents and voltages, whether to charge first then discharge (or vice-versa), and so on.

I had never used this function but your question made me curious so I tried it. It all worked fine, once I got things figured out.

Incidentally, if you don't have the manual you can download it here: http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/eos/EOS0...)-B-MAN-EN.pdf.

I believe its the temp port. So you can monitor battery temps.

This seems to be a good charger. The manual sure could be better.

As stated above, the 0606i firmware is not user upgradeable. That thread is not relevant.
