Kinda contradicting yourself there, aren't you? The Beast IS a Pitts Model 12...ok, with a few modifications.

Question number 2418:

What are the odds that the AR6400LBL would work on 1S ?

Personally, I would have like the first HH brushless UM to be 1S... Basically, they could have designed a new brushless that they could manufacture for cheap. Something as powerful as the 1302, but for one third of the price. There's already tons of brushless airplanes in 2S... I have a couple of ELE that have pretty much the same wingspan for way cheaper. Many of us have converted their UM to brushless but had to go to 2S for more power. They have the engineering to design their own brushless afterall, and could come up with a decent 1S brushless for cheap.

I'm seriously crossing my fingers that this new brick could be 1S and 2S so in the near future, maybe we will see cheap but truly powerful 1S brushless that would play well with it. After all, the whole board is not much heavier than the original (particularly if you add the external ESC).

I'm wondering if the release of these new Brushless setup Micro's we'll see this on the supposed "speed demon" micro plane being released soon.

I'd have to agree with ya here.. I was hoping for 1s as well,2s sort of seems like a step backwards relative to the "micro" scene.

I've been doing a bunch of ordering, and still waiting on parts, but I was (still am) going to do serious research into finding a good 1s BL setup (for the older brushed planes obviously). It seems everyone guns towards outrunners and direct drive, just like the Beast. I am researching in the area of inrunners & whether gearboxes will be needed or not.

It seems the inrunners love the 3x3 size of prop, but on even an XP, the prop would mostly be shrouded. So gearboxing would like be necessary to swing 5X and 6X props. In all my number crunching so far, I have a setup that will likely swing a 6043 very nicely, I'm only waiting on the new TP 45c 1s pack to arrive, so that testing can continue without having saggy voltage issues browning the brick out and locking the motor into WOT.

Maybe have at least 3 different color schemes for actual racing, or just 2, one all dolled up, the other plain jane white so we can gussy it up..

LOL yes I am. I've certainly been known to do that on occasion.

I once saw Sean Tucker perform in his Oracle sponsored custom one-off Pitts at the Hillsboro Int'l Airshow...stole the show, and there were some solid performers at that one! That plane did things no full scale aircraft should be able to do! Haven't seen the full-scale Beast fly yet....

Did I mention I'm going to a su-weet little airshow next weekend?

Sorry couldn't resist...lol

Hope that info of the new micros would be true! I would love to own a micro BL stryker or a micro soarer(BNF I saw the micro stryker thread but I just like the HH fast food products) after the micro beast. Have you guys seen the new catagory that eflite has for the airplane? Now these BL high performance micros are called UMX.

cheese...come one...#1 reason. It's a Pitts Model 12..the coolest airplane in the world. I have 4...all the way from a 36" wingspan to a 71". Looks like I'll have a micro as well. I guess they listened to my comments on their surveys. I asked for a Pitts Model 12 micro! I about peed myself when I saw it on the web site.

How about because it will kick butt & take names, if the pilot has the skills?
