Thanks all for the suggestions.
Not sure what I'll do... too depressed. Just discovered that we have termites in our house.
Not good.
Gonna cost $$$$.
Replacement of the Beast has just become low priority.

I have hundreds of 3s flights on my Beast 3D and I only flew my Sbach 3s on 2s for the maiden. Both with stock bricks. Never had an issue, except for the time when I induced OTP on purpose in the B3D on a 105 F day by doing repeated 300' vertical climbs @ WOT. Got my first taste of what it's like to deadstick a concrete block. From around 100' AGL, I barely made it back to the runway, just 75' away!

Thank god for that 10kt tailwind.

ChinoDiablo - That sucks I hope it gets resolved. An uncle of mine got that bad news about a decade ago. Get quotes and opinions from multiple people. And if possible talk to your insurance company.

My eBay beast arrived today!!!
The wings are shot, and it's got quite a bit of love bites but all the electrics and as3x work. Gonna try to make it out to lhs tomorrow for beastie bits shopping

Does anyone have a link to a video or a post of instructions on how to best change the Beast 3d's wings out?

I've not seen one. It is not hard to do, however with all the wires it is tedious. Just take your time and make sure everything lines up right.

I took ten or so pictures last night of all the attachment points. I've got new carbon rods, and a new wing set which includes interplane struts and guy wires. Can't wait! Also I unwarped the elevator by placing a small weight on one side of the elevator and leaving it directly under a lamp , I have one of those extendable lamps on an arm like the one from the Pixar animation and it gets super hot. After an hour and a half I took it out from under and removed the weight and the foam was pretty warm and the warp was gone

Figured I would post pictures of my Beast with an atitude adjustment.

V1 Beast with a fan/motor combo out of a UMX Mig. I just added a 6amp ESC and tied it into the gear channel, then mixed it with throttle. I did put it on a switch as well so I can run the prop alone or prop and fan as one.

Now, there's something you don't see every day. Very cool! We need video!!

BTW, did you get your inspiration from the late, great Jimmy Franklin & his Waco? I watched his act in person a few times. I also had the pleasure of watching him practice it at a local airshow before he made it famous at Oshkosh.

Most definitely three of the best pilots to ever climb into a cockpit! RIP Bobby, Jimmy, Jim, and Amanda....

How does it fly? Will we be seeing some video?

I live in Ohio so the video may take a little while When its warm it 25mph winds and when its calm its 5 degrees. As soon as I get a reasonable day I will take it out and get video. Just by the thrust it has vertical will be endless. This is kinda my test model for whats yet to come.................................
