Just keep an eye on the Classifieds. Link here

They come up once or twice a month.

It might be too windy to fly…

I was flying my Beast 3D in some pretty high winds last Saturday. Anyway, with apologies to Jeff Foxworthy…

If your plane has a negative groundspeed at takeoff… It might be too windy to fly.

If you miss an approach and just backup to try again… It might be too windy to fly.

If you land with full throttle but zero ground speed … It might be too windy to fly.

If, after landing, you have to hold full throttle plus down elevator just to keep the plane stationary on the runway… It might be too windy to fly.

Basically, like this?:
UMX Beast funky landings in the wind (1 min 45 sec)

When am I ready for the Beast? I have the AS3X version. I flew my UMX Sbach AS3X on Sunday in winds with some difficulty. The AS3X did not keep it perfect, but I could tell it was doing it's thing. I used 70% rates and it was still super responsive. Is the beast easier or harder than the Sbach? It does look more delicate.

It is easier and more delicate. If you can handle the sbach than you can handle the beast3D.

100% correct. The only time I get into trouble when flying my Beast is when I get TOO comfortable. It flies so well that I get baited into thinking that I can pull off any move, even close to the deck. Damaging it is more upsetting than damaging some other plane because you worry that you have messed up its perfection.

Nice one, thanks for sharing that vid.

Twitching

I just purchased a UMX beast and I am getting twitching in the ailerons when in level flight. Has anyone had that problem?
