Guys,

In model aviation, ROG means 'rise off ground'. It's an old free-flight term.

So it is no elevator input then?

Glad to got that one sorted out, and to keep it on topic, I promise to do a ROG next time I'm flying my Beast

ROG has nothing to do with elevator input, or the lack thereof. ROG simply means taking off from the ground - as opposed to hand launching or other methods. Taking off from the ground without touching the sticks is called 'unassisted ROG'.

kinda stupid but quick question. when looking at the front of the plane the left wheel keeps rubbing the plastic wheel retainer on landing and is actually winding the retainer to the point it freezes the wheel. then on next landing with frozen wheel she needlessly flips over on her back. real pita! i keep backing this plastic piece away from the wheel and even tried to glue it. holds for a bit then i start flipping on my back again after perfect landing. am i the only poor soul who has this problem? i just used the permanent lock tite on it in a desperate attempt to stop this. what does a man have to do to just get wheels that roll. scheesh! other than that this plane is a dream.

I had the same problem on one of my Beasts. I used a drop of medium ca to keep the spats from rotating.

BTW - regular Loctite melts plastic. There is a special type for use on plastics.

I flung the wheel pants and wheels and made bigger wheels so I could take off from grass.

I use them a lot as well, they are DIRT CHEAP at Walmart in the Jewelry Dept (I think here in Canada I picked up a package of the, bunch in the same, for probably $2 or $3. Clear and work perfect on micros, etc.
