Wonder what a full power blender would do to this airframe.

Looks can be deceiving. How about a brick with "BL" in its part number? that will be a breakthrough for a UM plane to have a on board BL ESC. Oh, and the 2s part is new as well.

I'm running AR6400L bricks now on 2s but they need a diode mod to do that.

A Biplane Sukhoi would be sweet if you ask me.

When it comes right down to it the most interesting thing is the electronics package. Now we have brushless with a built in ESC that handles 2S directly. A lot of interesting things can be powered with that.

Not that I mind it being stuck in a cute little bipe that can probably fly the wings off a Sukhoi!

Hmm... I've still got an unopened Graupner Goodyear racer. (whatever it was called) Now I can save the weight of the servos and conventional rx and stick a brushless motor into it and have it weigh probably an ounce or more less than the original version, while having more power.

I think I will check on the availability of the gear as well as the release date of the plane!

Pete

Wow, what a nice plane, thanks for sharing, really want one when it hits the market. But do you guys think it can 3D and fly slow maneuvers like harriers and hover? Really have no idea of the bi-plane even it's full scale. Just hope it'll fly(3d) even better and easier than the 4site.

A tiny 67 gram airframe has surprisingly little inertia. Pull back the power, and it will slow down in a hurry, especially with that huge 5" prop on the front. My converted Guillows Spitfire is a 63 gram, 2S micro plane with a much less draggy airframe than the UM Beast. When I throttle back, it sheds speed so fast that I'm still working out how to manage the throttle when I land.

I think is possible to make a adapter mod for the plane to use two standard single batteries.
I have two 4 Port charger and can charge 8 single batteries simultaneous and also some older single charger.

Guys, there is already a thread that seems to have grown more than this one. I don't want to push people but suggest to post any info over there, or read that one as it is easier to keep the info in one place, that way you don't miss anything and questions aren't asked twice.

The Sukhoi Biplane isn't that hard a mod you should try it.
