First pictures for Slow Stick

Maiden flight of the Stick went off without a hitch. Very nice slow flying plane. Had to wait for the winds to die down this evening in order to try the camera. The pictures are in an area of new construction in our subdivision. Did notice the pictures taken with the motor off are the best. Have a penCam coming with the Wild Moose switch installed and the whole process should be easier.

Look like you have a great start. I don't mind a bit larger pictures. Post more pictures.

Thanks Pin. I have tried posting a larger picture but everytime I do the site says my post is too large even though the picture size is well below the max allowable. I keep reducing the size until the site accepts it. I'm sure I'm doing someting incorrectly here. Not sure what it is though. I've compared my file size with postings from other members and I'm well within the same parameters. I must have something set wrong in my profile.

The file size limit is 100K. Your picture file size is only 16k.
Should be able to post larger size...

Always save in jpg format, and watch out, some editors will give you a readout on pixel count, which isn't the same as the file size. The pixel count of your first picture is about 68k, though as Caveman says, it's only about 16k file size.

Edit your pictures with an editor that allows you to choose the jpg compression ratio. I use PhotoShop Elements (~ $90), and the jpg save options allow jpg quality levels of 1 to 10 as well as an estimate of the file size at each level. For rcgroups.com posting, I usually resize to around 600 pixel width to be browser-friendly, then save at a compression to yield no more than 60-70k file size.

Photo Editing Software

May I recommend Irfan View? It's free and readily available all over the web; specifically go to:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html

I use this for all my photo editing. It is completely free, easy to use, small. . . everything a guy could want.

Hi gmaster,

The Stick is basically stock. I did replace the aluminium wing tubes with brass and epoxied the nylon wing stiffeners to the leading and trailing edges. The motor is also held on with 2 screws through the mount. Performance wise it is box stock. The construction mods were preformed at the advice of several members here. Lots of good knowledge in the forums for sure.
