Hobbypartz Optima 450 1380kv on 6S?

Think this motor will be ok on 6S?

http://www.hobbypartz.com/75m36-opti...20-1380kv.html

Has no voltage specs listed...but speed wise on 6S I think it should be ok. Are there any motor changes that make them able to handle higher voltages, or should this motor be ok? It's going into a heli

It is rated for 244W max... so on 6s (~22.2v) theoretically you will be limited to 11A! Kv x V is over 30,000rpm... can it cope?

Ah ha, watts. So I'd be real close to the limit in normal flight...and blow though it on full collective. Drat. (Trying to avoid paying $55 for a Scorpion, and I still could use a lower kv than the Scorp's 1630 for their version of this type motor). Thanks!

Thanks, but too high kv for what I'm doing. I'm looking for around 1850 headspeed on 11T/6S, as it is already flying at 18amp on 3S on the bare airframe w/ballast...hence the desire to go 6S as there will be 2 3S packs on board. Ideally I'd be looking for 1200-1300kv in a 450 size format, with an 11T+ pinion for quietness. FWIW, Hobbypartz has one similar to that, but with a 2mm taller stator presumably giving more torque, sold as 1800kv, actually 1700kv, worked pretty well on a 3S ship doing the slow-motion deal.

Cool, well, from what I have seen just poking around, based on your specs, the best thing is just go with the scorpion. Its really not that expensive, especially since its a proven motor for your application.
