Excellent, Iīm doing a Herr 35 inch Piper J3 Cub conversion right now.

Whatīs your flying weight?
Whatīs the wingspan?
What batteries do you use?
What motor/gearbox?
What coveringmaterial?
Are you using aileron, or rudder (couldnīt quite see from the pics)?

Sorry for all the questions, but a WW2 fighter will be second or third after the Cub. I would like to take a shot at the Herr Pitts freeflight also, but am not sure whether to do that before or after the WW2 Fighter.

That paintscheme of yours is spectacular. Should be easy to see in the air also!

Greetings Anders,
Thanx for the comments

AUW> 9-10oz.(depending on pack)
W.S.> 32-3/4"(not sure of area at the moment)
Batt.> 7-550NiMh, 6-110NiCd, 6-250NiCd, 8-350NiCd
Power> Gws IPS-A carbon brush
Props> 10-4.7, 9-7 , 8-6

Covered in Coverite Coverlite. Uses ail. elev, the outlines can be seen in the pics. Sorry about the quality, I have a brand new cam, but can't use it on my old computor. So I'm stuck with the cheapy for now.
I also have the Herr pitts, but for I.C., needs recovering. Could be very touchy, the ww- 2 designs tend to fly more smoothly.
But this could be a broad statement

And yes, it's easy to see....

Steve,
Nice job. I too like the color scheme you picked. Is that a pre WW II scheme?

Color scheme

Greetings J Morgan,

The color scheme is on the back cover of the squadron book.
The aircraft was to late to have a pre-war scheme.
If it did not have the rear windows then this scheme would make it a F6F-5K.

I believe the colors were a hi-vis scheme used for target drone controllers after ww2 (the 1950's). I've got squadron/signal documentation for a Bearcat with the same scheme.

bob

(nice looking model by the way, you might force me to build that Bearcat )

Duh! What was I thinking? It was late and I had been drinking! I have the squadron book, just looked at it. Thought I had seen that before. I like that combination.
