Was wondering because Art has 11000 plus messages, DJO has 800. Thought it might be based on volume.

Art might have over 10000 posts but he has not flown beyond a stone throw

well... I had to go out and get a flight with this bad weather we are having right now ! I managed to squeeze a slot between 2 rain clouds.
it was surprisingly calm and I managed to bust a few clouds
By the way this was the farthest I have ever been...
Over 3Km
Rain clouds (5 min 19 sec)

Very nice!
Great colors, what are you recording the HD with?
Is your OSD altitude in feet or meters?
FWIW, I've been out 2km.

Glen, here is my 9C setup with FrSky. It is a DIY module that I installed in a RS project box.

Thanks gents... My OSD is in meters, the internet video HD recording did not come near as nice as the original, don't know why but the colors are darker than the original. this is the Hobbyking recorder.

I don't recall seen a video for your 2km out ! very nice to see you are venturing out.

Talking about dodgy outings, I tested that LOC8TOR i mentioned a few posts back and it works pretty well. it has a range of 120m, the tags are really small and light.
Here is the one that I velcroed to my SW tail. My tricopter willnot leave home without one !!!

I knew it wasn't mean, but Beeing sarcastic and bitchy also means you can get thrown some stones at you too, wich I am happy to do sometimes (in a friendly fashion)

Art has been flying and testing so much multis in the last year, we almost forgot he started FPV in a plane. He went over 4000 feet away over this swamp in front of the flight line. I miss watching those "longer" distance flight, hope BB will get at it soon ( wink, wink).

Looks pretty slick Art - the module I have just clicks in right in place of the Futaba module and the antenna comes up between the handle and unit. I'll be ordering the little lcd screen with my next HK order and also that mounting bracket.

Haven't been flying much lately, even though we've had some not bad days for it. Been slaving away on a landscaping project, maybe if I get my x468 mount done today I'll take some aerials of my progress.

My son got his Easy Star put together and we flew it a bit, real nice flyer and a far better trainer plane than the Super Cub IMO, mostly because crashes don't wreck the prop. Sure needs that rudder mod bad though. Was demo'ing my Naza to him the other day, man that thing is steady, even in a brisk breeze it was pretty easy to fly, but I think a lot of that is because of the thin profile of the flamewheel frame, may not be as easy once I add the x468 to it.

It's OK RCM, I know it can be tough living in the shadow of another's plus-ness.

What's funny is my furthest flight out wasn't on purpose. I was letting a club member fly on the buddybox-looking at the Haier, he's a good pilot but just was having a heck of a time and while I'm trying to guide him along I wasn't paying attention to where we were at.

I flew the Askman quad around at the field the other day, had a gopro on board. This thing is big and heavy. DT750 motors with 11x4.7 APC props. 3S-5000 lipo.

Multiwii has LV detection built into the code, so when I built my Uno FC I added the extra hardware to be able to use it. Really just some wire, a couple of resistors to make a voltage divider, and a beeper. I wanted to see how well it worked, and I'm pleased.

Askman quadcopter, first flight at the field (5 min 10 sec)

Yes it did. 8^)

It's in the hanger for a thorough going over.

For as big and heavy as it is, it flys very nicely, very predictable, and with only a Wii motion plus gyro.
