You can download it from here:

Get the 1.7 version.

Any reason not to use the newest firware?

Actually I'm really excited about acquiring this board expecially with a quad wrapped around it. Hopefully I can learn the board quicker with a working model.

I'm told the quad will fly much like a co-axial heli model. That'l be relaxing I hope.

Can't wait to get a camera on it!

Now I have to go back to RMRC... dang it, there goes my OT!
Always eager to help.

Maybe the CC board will make a quad fly like a co-ax heli, my KK boards don't. It's more like flying a fixed pitch heli.

I can't tell much difference between co-ax and FP, but I've only flown a co-ax a couple of times.

My biggest beef with FP is that to reduce lift, you reduce headspeed and that reduces control. I think the traditional quad does the same thing. I'm assuming that's why so many crashes?? Also the reason I want a quad or tri that uses heli tail booms with variable pitch to control lift and direction, and also the inverted hover-3d thing.

I havn't started my search for the software for the CC. Does anyone run this board who frequents this thread? Morris??

Last time I checked there were problems with the autolevel and alt hold. Witespy himself said upgrade at your own risk.

I've had zero issues with 1.7 - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Kebob uses one. Just don't use his motor attaching method...

Art, Ver 1.7 is recommended for some sensors, like the ones in the quadrino. Like banzi28 said, autolevel problems.
If you use genuine Wii sensors, ver 1.8 is solid. Some say it's the best for WMP only(no accel). I use 1.8, but honestly can't tell the difference.

Rotorshake, Sorry, I can't help with the CC board. I did get on Inov8tive's notify list though.

How would you compare multirotor to CP?
My impressions so far is the biggest difference is in the way the multirotor corrects itself. The motors beeing at the end of the arms make a very stable machine because they act as a lever and react quickly. Usually it is less nomble than a collective heli, but that depends on the settings of the board and the type of board you have.

It flies a bit like a FP heli, but you can have much more control if you want to.
The biggest drawback when flying LOS is the difficulty to see the machine and its orientation. Close flying is the way to go. As far as FPV goes, its the wide angle lens of the cam that makes it hard to reference the attitude of the machine with the ground.

And for the crashes, I'd say most are due to the fact that multirotors owners are FPV fliers without much heli experience. In my experience, FPV fliers crash more than regular club fliers. Although Art may prove me wrong ? (sorry Art, couldn't resist)

Stryker long distance video

This time it went farther...really liked it. I dig the song (Jem) and the elevator landing at the end (it was windy):

Nice flight CG.
Lots to look at way up there, haven't had much sun around here for a while although the weatherman is promising some in the near future.

OK, found the GUI for the Wii board. Looks like the LCD I have for programming the KK+ board should work with the Wii also. Downloaded 1.7 as well as 1.8 v2, might have a programmer in the mail today!

Awesome Art. I put my Skysurfer back together. Figured out the calibration issue and resoldered my current sensor. If it still acts up it's the GPS and to be honest, I'm not too worried about it as I'm going to upgrade to a LRS and a good OSD over the winter.

I picked up a never-flown F-22 Raptor trainer last week which I'm installing the flap servos in and a new engine, plus a well-used T-28 foamy which, with some TLC in the looks department, might be a really fun FPV runabout.

Couldn't hide the Raptor from the wife, but the T-28 is easy to hide in amongst my Super Cub parts

I still have my Skywalker but that will be for my "graduation" next spring.

Yup, vee antenna on the bird. Trying to find some sheet metal to make a bi quad for the GS. Finding the metal has proven more difficult than anticipated. Going to see a heating specialist for some duct metal sheet.

galvinized roof flashing is another option if it doesn't have to be too big.

Large appliances with removable backpanels can be a nice source, built-in ovens are a good source.
