Don't worry CG, I'll clean up the servo wiring if there is anything left of it.

Sure, but they have that idea that what we do with the money is not as important...

I don't get that DIY Wii boards, why isn't there any printed circuitry like the one you buy already done ? It's just wiring modules together ?

Video ? Can place the cam on a tripod and fly in front of it ?

Today's flight

Small portion of today's flight. Watch the number after the "DIS" near the top of the screen.

Wow. Everyone has new videos.

CG, you're getting pretty salty with the Stryker. Too much fun.

BB, Nice distance flight, I have a DL in my Skywalker. It's ready to maiden. But it's so hot here, i haven't been to the field in weeks. We have broken several heat records this summer. Temp over 105F every day.

Art, Looks good. Looking forward to outdoor flight video.
Here are some Wii info links.
Alexinparis started the wiicopter. Here is his site.

Quinton(rcgroups AlouetteIII) sells boards(both naked and RTF) and other multi rotor parts. His Wiki is very good.

here's a link showing a Wii build with just jumper wires. No PC board is needed.

I bought a dummy security camera from the £1 shop.
As well as getting the dome to protect the electronics you also get a flashing red LED

Art: You're still the first in the tread to get there ! Congrats ! They do recommend to remove the props for the first start up Maybe you should paint the front arm a different color for orientation ?

scotsoft: I like the idea, plus you can't go wring buying something that has a led on it

Morris: You should buy a night camera to fly when it is cool outside. Or you can move to Quebec, when we get 30°C (about 85 F) here we almost get crazy... -30 °C is more common no joke

First FPV flights with DL

Here is one of my first flights with the DL. The plane was gliding real nice. Used motor only to go up and take some altitude here and there. Also entering "free receiver " video contest. Wish me luck !

Very nice CG. Loved the footage ! Don't you wish sometimes there was a White line painted in the runway ? I toyed with the idea of pinning a white ribbon on it ...

Had my first “foray” out in a little larger flying area… my back yard.

Went pretty well. My “nose in” skills need some fine tuning for sure. Had the #11 aboard, and the wife took some video too. Radio setting are as follows; control throws at 75%, EXPO at -50, have -30 available on a switch but haven’t tried it yet, gain on the KK board is (approx) 40%-yaw, 50% for pitch and roll. The yaw is locked in lead compared to a heli, I’ll want to get that more responsive. I’d think a TRI-copter would be better in that respect with the servo on the yaw moment.
