One of my friends have one and the ownership of these recorders is spreading like a virus. yes it records through static

No peanut gallery this time, but that actually took some of the pressure off and I was able to slow down and felt more prepared.

Cliff has made a recommendation that would significantly improve my video quality, but the file sizes are huge. On this laptop, I'm constantly having to delete stuff so as not to hit the cap, so big video slices just aren't in the cards for now.

I am starting to figure out Movie Maker though

Thats cool orcoz. Just have confidence in the video and fly it FPV, much easier when you recognize lanfmarks. Just don't go too far and add just a bit of distance at a time so you don't lose video link. If you can have a spotter when testing the video range, it is much safer. And don't worry about the "Ghetto GS", it is very FPV spirit to improvise with things such as the rubbermaid tray.

Don't think it's the same model. My Aiptek will handle moderate static, but it will stop recording if it gets too bad.

yeah.... that's a bit of a trip. I'm hoping that we get some other location suggestions that will make it easier for more guys to attend.

I was just telling to Art after an informal FPV meet with friends that FPVers have a different background than club members and that both need some work to "blend" together. They are both a nice bunch, but different attitudes.
