Just charged the batteries from yesterday. About 60 minutes of flight total. GS battery took 361 mAh, powering either the Haier or the Fatsharks and the receiver. The video battery in the plane took about 275 mAh (approximative because I charged it after 3 flights yesterday and also today ).

I also came back with 2,3 Go of video (total of both cams). I'll have forever to edit what I'll bring back in a full summer day of flying...

In the first instance I am chasing Arnold's Islander with my cularis and then Dennis's Sukhoi with my skywalker. The Sukhoi was difficult as it was fuel powered and the aerobatics schedule did not suit the Skywalker too well

cularis pursuit.avi (5 min 23 sec)

hope you enjoy it

Wow, RCMonster, just noticed your new opening video... Impressive.
My hat goes off to you, you make the chasing stuff look easy. I spent 30 minutes chasing Chuck around a might have a minute and a half of him in my sites! It was quite windy which didnt help anything, was still fun. Gave another buddy of mine a go at FPV in the haier while I kept track of him in the goggles. 8^)

9.9 GB of video data brought home tonight.

I have to give the Señorita credit, I moved my video battey up into the nose for a more forward CG, and reduced the control throw on the rudder/nose wheel. Servo stretcher worked OK too, it handled the wind much better than expected, pushed it out a little further too..

rcmonster, chasing the sukhoi around reminded me of the air to air combat video games I used to play a lot... very cool...

I guess I'm gonna have to come up with a custom opening screen like you guys... laugh... love the owl... very cool...

That landing was pure elegance and grace

thanks for the kind words.
following Arnold was easy as he flies his Islander like the full size. not bat for a guy who has a left hand tremor following a heart attack. Arnold loves it when I publish videos of me following planes.
Dennis was more difficult to follow because i don't think he realized I was trying to video his flight. however his flight pattern was predictable so I was lucky to get him.

If you want to follow each other succesffully, you have to find each other first and for that you have to agree on different land marks.
for example, "On the runway a tree height" "right hand corner double tree heigh" (defined by the road and river intersection for example) "left hand corner double tree height" defined by the road and the fence line for example... etc..
then agree to fly a triangular pattern on those land marks at double tree heigh for example.
the lead plane calls his position and intentions and the follower tries to follow.
the follower can see the plane better from a higher stand point but the nose of the plane makes this difficult. the lead plane will disappear in the white sky

Is the Islander one of the Cermark ARFs from a few years back?

No, just lucky I didn't lose the plane. Flying FPV would have been much safer.

Quote Rcmonster99: "That landing was pure elegance and grace"

Just about my normal landing. Will have to check landing gear bolts.

Quote Art: "My worst FPV landing to date."

Just a normal LOS landing for me.

Woke up tired, looked outside, was snowing ...wanted to back to bed...

Looks like you all had fun. I was at a book expo in Quebec city with mu daughter. Almost brought back a Marsupilami book, bought a Valerian "L'intégrale tome 5", very nice ! Sorry rcmonster, they didn't have the first Marsupilamis, but I looked at the one with the cute Mrs Houbi

Anyway sorry not on topic, will look at your videos later in the day.
