Both the P-38 and the Mosquito are great flyers! I keep thinking how great the FPV would be from the cockpit of either... looking left and right to each nacelle and seeing the props and spinner in action.

Received th Aiptek today ! Battery depleted, still charging. It records but video screen doesn't seem to work. I see some pixels lighted on power up but nothing changes on the screen after that, could it be because battery is too low ? Been charging for 3 hours now, manual says to charge for 8 hours at first (used cam and battery though...)

The screen on mine comes on as soon as you open it up.

Looks like my screen is dead I can record image from the FPV cam and play it on the PC with the video editor, at least that's that...But no way of changing menu options without the screen. Will try tommorrow if I can get the OSD (of the aiptek) to work when I hook up to TV in playback mode, it is supposed too. Nice first ebay buy...

I'd contact the seller, if it was advertised as working, they owe you a refund.

I'll probably ditch the spinner, blocks all the cooling to the motor.

from what I know as a popular belief (applied with success) you need at least two or three times more exhaust than intake to create a good airflow in a cowling. the idea is to create a vacuum that will accept the air inrush in the cavity.
I think it would be a shame to lose the spinner, it looks great with the plane

Thanks ! The LCD becomes white with black pixels on the bottom and stays there. Useless, although I can record with it I can't change any settings. PM sent to the guru and to the seller. Reviewed the add and it was all suppose to work. Should have bought new...

I agree with RCM that you should keep the spinner. With some exhaust holes and if your not drawing too much amps it should stay cool.

I plan on getting it fired up today, I think 300-350 watts will be plenty. Motor is rated (supposedly) for 450 watts.
