Chinese brushless mototrs? Anyone tried them?

I know they're around US somewhere (not down under yet). I know people have "issues" with buying something made in China (please don't use this thread to go down that road - there's another thread in "general discussion" doing quite well in that regard), but somebody must have tested one by now. Can anyone share some results with us? Are they better than Megas? Not up to Hackers? Anyone?

Stu.

prices

What are the prices in US dollars? I see they have them in "RMB"? I'm wasn't sure what that was.

RMB stands for Renminbi. It is the local currency in Mainland China. The exchange rate is roughly US$1 to RMB$8.277 according to the exchange rate table provided by Bloomberg.

Wonder how big the two motors without labels are.

Hmm. Look like 'chinese copies' of Kontroniks...

:0)

Bet they will be good, cheap, but have a few 'production quality' problems.

Small, but heavy, and holy cow, it'll take up to 50amps.

Called the contact in China, asked about pricing.... the 380 brushless retail price is about $60 US. trying to get a sample to test it. They haven't done full testing. no trust, amperage, voltage, or resistance testing. I'm curious thought. hopefully they will send one soon.

by the way, they told me that "Hacker" has contacted them about potential import of FeiGao "Fly High" motors to the US.

gee. you'd expect a motor that cost them $1.25 to make in china would at least retail less than the czech motors already out there.

Don't expect it. They will try to get what the market can bear just like any good capitalist. The KAN cell is developed and produced in China and still priced comparable to similar cells.

well, if the quality is not as good as the czech motors, they better come down in price.
