Hey Kev - confirm me there with the 41 and 47 foot MLB Coast Guard.
I'll see if I can get Joel to come too (41 MLB).

If V-Speed makes it we'll have a great photo op representing police, medical, and coast guard.

Craig, charge the camera and grab a new memory stick!

You need to remember that there is a Nite Run scheduled in Dec. also. Figure will not make this one, but have a good time.

YAY!!! this night is looking very promising for our 4 MLBs coming together!

Yes, I remember there is a night run in December, its why I'm hosting the "irregulars" one now so there isn't the pressure to choose later.

RIP to Ken's outrigger for the mishap on Sat morning. Another casualty weekend following my broken rudder on my Offshore Warrior, Racer59 stuck throttle(still was able to control his boat to safety) along with an unknown regular who lost a prop on his tunnel hull. Efforts were made to rescue his sunken ship from my rescue tug to Gerry and Ken taking the SFMYC dingy into the lake and using the net to try to locate and fish it out. Too bad Mr Lego wasn't there I'm sure he would have dove in. Anyways it is still somewhere in the depths. Hopefully word spreads and some other kind SFMYCer can try and fish it out...location facing Fulton St to right of the orange marker buoy inside a 400 sq ft area.

I'd most likely not dive in, but I sure would have been glad to help try to locate it! We should try to locate it again this weekend.

Night Run Reminder

OCTOBER 26TH "HAUNTED NIGHT" NIGHT RUN REMINDER

hey guys, just a reminder that in about 8 days from now, October 26, 2011, there is going to be a night run. The night run is an event where people with RC boats come together and run their boats at night. This is in no way a competition, so there is no reason to be competitive.
So come on out to Spreckels Lake and run your lit boat!
The theme is "Haunted Night" so you may decorate your boat with a Halloween theme. Candy is provided. This is NOT a potluck, although you may bring food to share.
So spread the word and come on out!

When? October 26, 2011 at 6:15pm
Where? Spreckels Lake
Predicted weather: 60 degrees F
Fog: Most likely not
Wind: 5 MPH
Moon Phase: New Moon

No dive

My understanding of Spreckels is it's reclaimed water. I wouldn't dive in unless you like diarrhea.

reclaimed isn't so bad....but the ducks, turtles, loons etc swimming in it (or dying) would bug me....the 3' of soft silt on the bottom pretty much eats what ever goes in anyhow.

I likie the crew on the recovery boat model, most people use a G.I. Joe or something rather than a figure that is more like the shape of the real club members! LOL

J12,
Cool angle on the pics. Did you lie on the ground to take 'em? Thanks for sharing.

It looked like a beautiful day at the lake. I really miss GG Park. It looks like I'll make it the night run.
