Walkera V100D01 NOW SHIPPING at www.WowHobbies.com

Now shipping at www.wowhobbies.com

We are honored to receive and review the first smallest 3-axis micro helicopter in the world. Preliminary test flight shows that Walkera's technology has been progressing in astronomical rate. Walkera is releasing an average of one new model per week and I would hate to be in their competitors' position. Anyway this little jewel is very special and deserves some attention. The V100D01 takes after the CB100/4#3B construction and design, however the flight charasteristic is completely different and it is like owning a very different heli. Wow Hobbies will be introducing this into our store when we have completed the tests. One of the many advantages of the V100D01 is that it shares many of the parts you may already have tucked away under your bed. The added features are flybarless design, fully adjustable 3 axis gyro and a new CNC tail box. Very nice !

Wow, there's no reason to buy a Walkera with a flybar anymore. At this rate, Walkera's flybars will become a collectors item.

They seem to be really pushing their 3 axis gyros. I wonder if this will spur the competition into action.

Very nice. I will be watching this one too.

Walkera is still working out the firware update and we are going to summit our test report to them. This model is quite mature and the release date will be very soon, may be in about a month production will begin. Price has not been determined yet by Walkera. It would also be interesting to see a scale version since it is now flybarless.

Walkera is posting a great threat to all the major brands. Their technology on the micros and the minis is about a year and a half ahead of competitions.

Nice!, That has put a smile on my face.
It does need different landing gear though.
Does it fly the same in the opposite direction? (Counter Clockwise)
I'd say this is gunna be a big seller.

OK I have to get one of these!!! I was just thinking last night how I love the way my V120D01 flies but that I just wish it was a little smaller like the CB100. Apparently my wish is their command.

Can't wait.

Looks like a crackin' 'lil heli.

You always ask great questions, LOL. The receiver supports BL, so the tail ESC is a new model# 10A-LTC which does not contain the built-in converter. Another words, the receiver no longer has a brushed tail motor port.

Yes, but the 2g motor can be upgraded to 2.9g quite easily. I also think the black CNC tail box is way too heavy. It is a solid block. When you upgrade to 2.9g, the carbon stand we have at Wow is super light. It is more costly and Walkera did it to keep cost down, not because they don't know how to do it.

Cheers,
Jonathan

John, what kind of price are we looking at? Where would you place the heli for flying closer to the cb100 or more towards the 4#3b?

No price yet as this is the prototype. Walkera is still making changes. So far it flies more like a 4#3b but I believe it should fly like the V120D01 when they finish. The V120D01 is like a in between 4#3B and CB100.
