Hi, these cars looked like too much fun to resist so I bought a couple so I could race them.
Could someone please help me with a battery question? The manual suggests that charging for 1 hour is the most but it also says that is with 110 volts (US). Does that mean 20 - 30 mins at 240 volts (aus) or does the input voltage make no difference?

Thanks for any help you can give.

You should have a proper adapter for the higher wall voltage. I doubt the charger can handle 240v input.

Hi, Thanks for the help. Yes I have the adapter to suit Australian plugs and yes we have 240 volt mains down under. So does that mean charging my battery for ~ half the suggested max for the american volts (110)?
The batteries get quite hot after 30 mins so I'm worried about charging for the full hour.

Thanks again in anticipation...

What is the diameter of rally tire? My sct tire is 33mm.
And I wonder why losi lists the spec of chassis size is smaller. My sct is wider, wheelbase and length is longer than losi list.

this is mis information if a battery is getting so hot you cant touch it i would worry and then its being either .

A charged at to high a rate

B overcharged

C may expload / catch fire and or ruin the battery also cuttting battery life to next to nothing .

if its getting that hot stop what your doing !!!!
back down the charge time to 15 min or until it is warm not hot !!

also unless your adapter lowers the voltage to 110 stop using the supplied charger . i would consult horizon hobby to be sure it can handle the extra voltage .otherwise you may burn your house down and or ruin charger and batterys .

How larger a 2s lipo are msot runnign with the stock setup?
How big is the battery bay ie dimensions?

Are most mounting the lipo in the tray or externally on top of the chassis?

Picked up a SCT today and did a couple quick videos just testing it out. Seems like a pretty nice setup for the price and it seems crazy fast with a 2S lipo compared to the stock NiMH.

Is there any national races or race series in the U.S. where the Losi 1/24 rally cars are raced?
