what shock oil should i use for the traxxas slash

i use 50 in the back and 50 in the front and i have two hole piston it keeps bottoming out help

are you using the stock springs? ifso you will want to get stiffer springs to prevent bottoming out.

If bottoming out is your only issue this could be easily solved with a piece of silicon fuel tubing on each shock rod. All this does is prevent your shocks from fully compressing but still allows them to work throughout their effective range of travel... You don't even need to take your shocks apart.
It may take some tweaking to get it right but it does work, I do this on ALL or my RC cars.

If this sounds confusing I will post a picture for you, but I don't have one so let me know and I'll take a picture and post it.

the other thing you can do is move the shocks in on the a-arms and out on the shock tower(if necessary).

That wont keep him from bottoming out, it will however increase body roll.

it will increase ride height which can help with bottoming out. also, is the car bottoming out from landing a jump or from accelerating? there's a big difference, jump bottoming out can be expected, but not acceleration.

well, i did what i suggested to my slash once and it never bottomed out, and it was high! huge travel, it just couldn't compress it enough to get it to bottom out from accelerating. just to much travel for it to bottom out.

Your right jet, it will increase ride height but thatís not all it will do. It will affect handling, and not for the better... It really depends on your driving stile, where you are running, terrain and last but not least how crazy you are about the perfect setup; some may not notice the difference, I do, so I'm just giving the best advice that I can from my point of view.

Ultimately in the end itís the end-userís decision...

BTW, I used to do the same jet, but then I learned more about suspension setup and got more into getting it to really do what I wanted.
Also, Iíll be the first to admit that occasionally I still use the quick fix like just raising ride height with spacers, but only when I'm feeling lazy.

i got new shock because the traxxas big bores where broke so i got the Integy XSR2 Heavy-Duty Piggyback Shock and thes work great
