Well i got my new airframe from hobbyking the other day but I am still using the first airframe, although its got nothing but tape on it and epoxy. I have just glued on the new motor mount and tried the recommended motor and prop and a differemt esc. Hopefully test fly tomorrow.

first parkjet flew well. tends to fly down so i give it up elevator or crash. it flies great. it even floats with the motor off. stock 2s motor is plenty fast. my cheap hk receiver for my spektrum dx6i malfunctioned resulting in a crash. everything was fine except the motor mount broke. i'll be fabricating a more sturdy motor mount. i have one more parkjet in a box. i'll order another one without servos or motor. i want to build a parkjet using a 4s lipo. great flying plane.

attaching the fins

Are the vertical fins having to be attached a specific right/left way . If I try them on, there is a difference when exchanging left/right...

Yes, there is a right and a left, look at the top of, the base of the fin , you'll see that it is bevelled. Lower side towards the wing.

Hey guys!
I am currently building a H-king parkjet from kit form and are using the following motor TP450 3850kv http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6262
I also purchased a H-King SS 60A esc http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...0_70A_ESC.html however it doesn't come with BEC. Do I need to have BEC to make this bird fly?

Hi smithymicky

Sorry, but I'm not sure on the BEC, but with that motor, your Parkjet is going to fly like sh*t off a shovel....
Looking forward to hearing how you get on.
