Hi Jonathan

Thanks for your great informations
Do you have informations about the barebones ? When will they available ?
What's going on with the TX settings for the V120D02 ?

BTW..I'm interested in a video/photos about walkera helicopter production/assembly.
Is something like that published ?

The V120D02 is a CP heli so it's pretty much designed to be flown outdoors. (or in a big warehouse or gym) Trying to fly a CP heli inside is very scary. They are way to fast to do anything other then hover around, and even that is a challenge in a small space. As for how it handles outdoors... it's small and light so it will get pushed around a bit by higher winds, but it should handle fine in calm or light wind conditions.

If you're talking about the V120D01 FP heli then this is the wrong thread. That heli is much mroe suited for indoors but should also be able to handle outdoor flight OK. Probably not as well as the CP version, but it should still do OK in light wind.

Well, find the correct thread, and I'll follow you there. I'm interested in the same topic.

The V120DO1 thou not belong to this thread but the quick answer is, it is so far the best flybarless fix pitch heli that can handle the wind and it does it extremely well. The V120D02 undoubly will ride the wind since it's CP like Dan said. The air shipment of V120D02 has been confirm on its way to us in California. So far there is lots of talk and Walkera had kept this one under the lid for a while. May be they are trying the iphone 4 strategy, LOL.

V120D02 now shipping at www.WowHobbies.com

Now shipping at www.WowHobbies.com Captain's log: August 6, 2010. The V120D02 helis have just been delivered to our California warehouse. Being so anxious to see how it is going to perform, I immediately put it on its maiden flight, without any warm up or practice on the feel of this beast. To my surprise from the first flight I was able to take it around the room. In the beginning, I was a little rusty then I started to get a hang of it. I had no fear to of the tight quater as my confidence grew in the brief moment of the flight.

V120D02 at WowHobbies.com test indoor maiden flight (1 min 54 sec)

I know you only flew it briefly. But how does is compare to the 4G6s and 4G6 in stability and "feel"?

I guess you will have to wait untill DK gets a few flights in cus he can invert it. I just ordered an HP07 so hoping that since this heli has no flybar the HP07 will not bogg. We shall see. I am not good at collective management so if anyone can bogg it then it will be me. Hehe

Hi Tony. I will get a chance at flying her today. Will let you know what motor choice ends up being the best choice for me. I have the original HP08, a hot HP08-2, HP07 and new HP09. We shall see...
