powering my charger from a charger?

I'm way to cheap to go out and buy a 12 volt wall power supply. I do however have a car battery charger. I'm wondering if I can power my Jeti mini peak charger off that? Or will that damage the charger or the batteries

Not a good idea. Car battery chargers put out very dirty power which can easily damage the Jeti. Use the car charger for charging a 12V car battery and connect the Jeti to that.

Could I attach the car charger to the battery, and the jeti to the battery at the same time? Or would that just be the same thing..

It works a lot better than the charger on its own. Basically having it connected to the lead-acid battery smooths the power out so it's usually o.k. with most chargers.

But obviously I haven't tried your particular combination. In fact I haven't tried doing it that way myself for ages, it's just too easy to use a converted PC power supply instead.

Of course you can go to Radio Shack and buy $10 worth of cap's
if you don't like hooking it to the battery. But for $10 I can take
my old honey out to dinner she likes Burger King. CU

Yeah, i was thinking that the battery would act as a sort of buffer... I think I'll have to try that, I'll ask my old man (i say that respectively, to you fathers out there!) where he put the extra car battery and charger.
