Having jumped out of an AN-2, my recollection is V2 was a brisk jog and Vne was like a sprint. Surprised you could not keep up.

stock fox 800 video tx's work so well, I don't even bother trying out the Lawmate 1 watt 1.2/1.3 video tx's

I had reports of 2km stock, if you add a simple Vee dipole on the Tx yes you might achieve 4km but not clean video (usable is not clean)

Buying my RXs today, should I get two sunskys or two lawmates or do the standard RXs from readymaderc work well enough?

1280MHz antennas in stock: www.videoaerialsystems.com

We also do custom antennas for any frequency.

I use the 4 channel RX from readymaderc. It works well. it's better than the digital units and doesn't have issues with video sync when saturated. 1.5 miles is easy on CP omnis.

I also fly 1.2GHz Lawmate RX's on my 4 turn helicals. They are a little bit better, but not compatible with my favorite antennas (skew-planar wheel/cloverleaf).

Can you not use the Skew-planar/cloverleaf with lawmates?

Old Man Mike says you can. it has been my experience that you can't. Either he is doing something out of the ordinary, or I am doing something wrong. Either way, I'd rather err on the side of caution.

Hmmmm... now I don't know whether I should get lawmates or the standard ReadymadeRC 1.3ghz RX.

... just when I had finally made a decision also... lol
