Just wanted to say the AGL filter seems well built, and although it looks flimsy, it survived a 50+MPH (GPS) crash with no apparent damage, with the lawmate dipole attached. Can't comment on it's effectiveness, except that I had video and rc control inside my car from 2KM while ground testing. Once the mud dries up I hope to do some testing in an empty valley using a fire-trail as a crash-zone/landing strip for distance testing.

Well my latest Sunsky order arrived today. Out of curiosity I also ordered one of these 1.2 GHz antennas to keep as a spare for testing purposes.
I figured they would be similar to the ones in the kits but to my surprise their actually much smaller and lighter. I decided just for the hell of it I'd hook em up to the new Tx to test and once again I was surprised! Compared to the stock antenna this smaller one consumed on average 1W less power on the 800mW Tx's! From what I understand, having a lower power consumption means a better VSWR, correct? EDIT: Also the these transmitters are different to the previous ones I've ordered, they have a connector on the side of the transmitter rather than the 4 wires being soldered directly onto the board. |

Is the bev rc 1.2 ghz patch antenna compatible with the sunsky receiver in terms of the connectors? Does anyone have it, do you recommend it?
