I would not expect great video to all around your class rooms.

Maybe two or three classrooms away or so.
its nothing like it would be in the air.
Your audio is just a mater of hooking/wiring up the mic properly.

Just like you would for your plane

I do agree with David. It seems like it would be a lot of effort to set up all of the classrooms, and in the end it would result with a lower quality video than if it went through a wire. The signal just wont penetrate cleanly.

That is Fast!
And received two hours ago!!.
A quick question: Is there a way to strip down the Tx part without affecting performance. Is cooling necessary?

I normally fly 900mhz video, but I bought the SunSky 800 Tx/RX to try out.

I am (for now) using/testing the SunSky 800 Tx/RX in a home security setup. (see pic)

Setup in the picture is....

Camera, Mic and Tx in the garage, camera aimed thru the window at back door of house.
Using the stock antennas.
Cheap no-name amplified mic.
Big gold heatsink still on the Tx.
Set on Ch.9 1280mhz
Changed the SAW filter in the Rx. Original SAW filter (F-480-3) is wideband, approx 36mhz.
New narrow SAW filter is approx 17mhz. (D-480)

I tested before and after changing the SAW filter.
Before the signal was "ok" but tended to multipath and very sensitive to antenna position

After changing the SAW filter the signal (picture) is much "cleaner" and antenna position not as critical. Seems not as sensitive to multipath.

Audio is very good,
I can hear the furnace in the garage start up, and even when a car drives down the alley behind the garage.

Note that the signal has to pass thru at least 3 walls, (one of which is concrete) and get to the Rx which is below ground level in the basement.

I was using a cheap 200mw 2.4ghz setup for this setup.
Very grainy picture and prone to interference.
It worked... sorta... but very sensitive to multipath and even neighbors microwave oven.
I could always tell when they were cooking/heating something.

Now with the SunSky setup I have rock solid picture, and in over a week of the system being on 24/7, no interference that I have noticed.

Don't know if this helps you, but I think the SunSky system is pretty good.

For your audio issue all I can suggest is try a different mic.

Edit; you might need to use an amplified mic...
I don't know if that Rode mic is amplified?

About jitter-free servos: finaly I've found one absolutely jitterproof. It's HS-5085MG. And yes, it's digital servo. Please, if you can reproduce this problem, can you try any other digital servo? The idea is that digital servos are more resistant to nonstandard signal changes. We just need to proof this - those HS-5085MG works very well...

Jitter free servos

Added the following small list on the 1st page:

Esky EK2-0508
HS-5085MG
HS45, HS56, HS65MG, HS82 + all the Hyperion Atlas models
The EMAX servos from bevrc are certainly fine around 1280Mhz.
hs -5065mg and 5485hb's

Avoid those:

9g blue ones do (rctimer, hextronic, turnigy, towerpro), Hitec HS82MG (Metal Gear), TPro MG90s and MG16R

Yes, my Fox Vtx works fine with my LM rx's. So if the rx can tune the same channels it should work fine.

I think I may just ignore audio for now, I'm gonna rewire it and remove the mic. Are you guys using shielded wires comming out? I'm think of switching from twisted servo wires to shielded wires from a usb wires.

I got the sunsky 1.2 800mw and noticed the tx chews up power!...
2 hours and it ate half my 2200 batt.. the rx can run for much longer (~10hrs?)..

If you are worried about voltage, just get the ebay step up thingo mentioned here somewhere [first post?]..

The sunsky is def a pretty good system.. though it needs better antennas.
Its great compared to the 200mw 2.4 crappy hk system which goes 100m :/
and so far, there has not been any noticible interference from 2.4 [radio].
