Anyone ever have this problem.

Thanks
Attached is a picture of my Fox 12ch video rx internals. Ignore the little bit of extra wiring (thats for the RSSI meter). Try to adjust the video level pot shown. I had that video drop problem on this rx resolved by tweaking that pot.

It's a GoPro, recorded onboard. Still, there was no static at all in the video. Only lost RC control when I turned around.

Here's another thing that may be different with me- mine is still in that huge heavy gold case. It gets so hot, that I just took the weight penalty to keep it cool. Maybe some are over heating?

I'll pause the video and take a screen grab at the furthest part. If you watch the video carefully though, I'm pretty sure you can remember the park.

The Park at 0:35 seconds is where I launched from

Again at 2:36

2:58

1:15 is the furthest in the video. I've gone further than that before, I guess I just never posted it...

So does the Sunsky TRANSMITTER use an sma or a type f connector like the reciever? I can't find the info anywhere in order to make an antenna while I'm waiting for mine to ship.

All the transmitters uses sma (to be honest I havent seen a video transmitter with a F connector)

Friend of mine got his set from Sunsky few weeks ago, and his set has F connector on receiver and sma on transmitter.

Qualitiative analysis of the BoB 700 Vs Sunsky 800

Pictures will come later

I flew both TX units on the same plane and in the same patterns a few minutes apart using the stock whip antennas on the RX units and my Vee antenna on the plane. I left my cellphone in my pocket to generate a little bit of noise to simulate a more noisy environment. Both TX units were uncased. Here's what I can determine from those flights:

Sunsky TX:

This unit is smaller, lighter and has slightly higher output power. My range on this with either RX was about 3000-3100 feet before the video feed got weak. I would suggest adding a small heatsink to this one.

Video feed gets weak around 10V. Drop out happens at around 8.8V.

BoB:
This unit is larger, heavier and has slightly less output power. Range was about 2500- 2600 feet before the video feed got fuzzy. A separate heatsink is likely unnecessary.

Video feed gets weak around 10.7V and drops out at 9.3V. This I feel is the greatest disadvantage to this unit.

RX units:

For all I can tell, they are identical. I could determine absolutely no difference in performance.

I have exactly the same results with my BOB fox 700mw. My cell phone is always off.
I'm using the stock antenna on rx an inverted vee on tx, exactly the same setup than IBCRAZY.

How can we improve it (without using a patch on rx) ??

Exactly which stock whip antenna was used? Does anybody knows what frequency this antenna is tuned for?
