It really depends on your amp draw. 65C cells hold voltage better.

O.K. last question Jim. What will you call these packs so we know which ones to look for? Your other packs had names (platinum ect.).

The new packs will be called "Platinum Plus". They will be easy to find as all other types are being removed.

Whats the time frame on the new smaller motor based on your recent testing to handle the new higher discharge rate batteries???

We will be releasing an 11S system. The problem is that ALL of the small motors (Hacker, Scorpion, Mega, Neu, etc.) burn up with the new batteries on 12S. We are seeing no less than 3.0 volts more voltage (under load) with a 12S 65C setup. This is basically like having 13S! In fact, the amperage on our Pro motor goes from 110A to 134A (and we gain another 2 pounds of thrust) just because of the batteries!

Dropping to 11S with 65C batteries will reduce the weight (again) and give the same performance as the older 30C/45C 12S setups.

We will do final testing this weekend and start assembling units next week.

and what is with all the others waiting for a "simple" 12s Fan?
I have 12S Packs and dont want to by new ones...
I am waiting a long time, an now you would tell me if i want to use Dynamax Xteme i must buy your Platinum packs...

Lack of packs is cutting into my EDF flying..........had to go to props using 6s but even those 6s packs are losing it. I like the XPS packs and do want them....where is the battery ship? I already had dropped to 10s using the Stumax......so Jim.....are you saying I could go to 9s with the new packs?

Thats not what he is saying! This new fan will work fine on 12s with all the older packs but once you move up to 65c batteries you need to drop to 11s to be sure not to damage the motor!

Sounds good Jim, let me know when you guys are taking orders, I am ready (and on the list)! Sounds like the potential of a good 10s system once we hit about 80c discharge

I'm flying the fan/motor on XPS 30C 12S packs. No problem. Jet RTF weight is 15-16 lbs. Testing next week using the 65C XPS packs, 11S. I'll keep you posted.

From what I can see Jim is trying to do his homework. Testing various motors.

I for one would love a thread started by Steve Neu telling us the best motor for the Dynamax on 10S, 12S, 14S and 16S. I even came across one of Jims threads posted a long time ago where Jim asked Steve for his suggestion on the best Neu motor for he Dynamax.

So Steve how about posting some helpfull information with actual data for those of us wanting to use a Neu on the Dynamax rather than wasting your time throwing pot shots.
