There are plenty of places online that seem to have them in stock.

I am definitely a supporter of my LHS but I am also a victim
to getting things online especially if there is free shipping.
For instance, check out Ultimatehobbies.com (the are showing the F4F in stock and at a very decent price, + free shipping)
I use them quite a bit for getting the big items and then
use my LHS for the parts, etc.
At least I spread my money around.. (the little that I have)

BTW, Bajora...
Great pics back on page 5
Thanks for all of them.
Put me over the edge and ordered my F4F today.

A couple of hours ago there was a pnp for sale in the fs/w section here. Imagine that.

//edit: Actually it's still there. 6 flights on it with a 5e and rx too.

I tried searching for "F4F Wildcat" on the Ultimatehobbies.com webpage...found it after realizing they don't have a pic for it up yet, just the link and product name! Thanks for the tip.

I can now officially participate in this thread!

I picked mine up from Robbin's Hobbies in Glendale earlier today.

Assembly was very quick.

I am using the 11X in mine, at the moment.

I used the maximum throw I could get without stalling the servos and 10% Expo on Aileron and Elevator. I increased the rudder throw a bit.

The plan has enough power that it flew out of my hand with a gentle toss. It pulled a bit to one side at full throttle but flew very straight at about 3/4 throttle. It is very easy to fly. The rudder is nicely effective. It was fairly windy with some gusts but the plane did pretty well with it, even though it is quite light.

It is quite a bit faster than I thought it would be. I did get it to snap roll, something I don't do often and have not been able to do with the T-28 (I have not attempted it on the ME-109).

The timer was set for eight minutes (I think Dave said he flew his for eight minutes, so that is where I set the timer). I felt no reduction in power at the end of the eight minutes.

I am looking forward to flying it more, later this evening.

I think they have another winner on their hands!

madiened mine as well in 15mph winds...she can take it if you can so dont be too scared to fly her if theres some wind. I agree with the faster then expected, even heading into the wind. Forgiving and nearly as agile as the P51 so I am going to mess with the throws.

I can officially post in this thread now too! I got home to that wonderful message on my answering machine that my plane was in at the LHS. I just finished putting it all together. I went to the second hole from the last towards the rudder and elevator as the extra throw should make things more interesting. The maiden flight will hopefully be tomorrow night.

I'll be back to tell all!

I posted this in the original thread. Some pics for size comparison.

Just picked mine up from the 60mi hike. Here she is next to some of my planes for a size comparison. I'll be replacing the 18amp ESC with either a Tbird 36 or and eflite 30amp since I have those lying around.

Teaser video, my camera guy's first attempt at tracking a plane...also he flew his first solo right before this so he was jazzed.

it does, a little expo on the ailerons is needed if you have large throws (I moved mine to the second hole from the inside)
