Ok guys, I have to say that in the right hands and with it tuned properly, this thing flies very well. I had a buddy from back in the day help me get it ready to fly. It was pretty windy, but I trusted him to take it up and it performed extremely well. I was going to take it for a spin just before the wind kicked up quite a bit and decided to fly it another day.
He was very impressed with the vertical power it had given such a small battery in addition to its handling. I am posting this because I don't want my lack of experience to keep competent pilots from passing this model by. |

But it is a foamy. A bit rubbery. For scale, thinking, even stock it has more power and speed than the 1:1! We torture these things and they keep on flying. I forget what the do not exceed speed of the real one is. Bet we go past it wih ours. I am no great pilot and the Wildcat really helped build skills. When getting ready to maiden my#1 E-flight mini Ultra Stick, it seemed natural to increase throws to max and see what Wildcat would do. _ Amazing! With a Turnigy 3535 the Cat goes vertical and gets from stall to were you point it with confidence. This pushed the airframe to it's limit.. I did take out the, already reinforced, E control horn. That was the first crash for #2 Wildcat. Drat. Installing the same power system in mini Ultra stick (MUS) Was very telling. MUS out preforms our beloved Wildcat in every way, Except perhaps; durability , the ability to belly land and naturally, what looks better than a Wildcat in the air!? MUS can be belley landed. Using nylon gear mount bolts has saved me repairs on rough landings, were it popped back up sans gear! Just the odd chin scuff on those. Back to Cat for relaxation! By all means do not pass up the Cat! Chris |

I wouldn't say it takes that much to get it to fly well. Unless you have a warped wing or fuse. Doesn't really take any tuning. She's a great plane just the way it comes. I do however like to hop my electronics up, that's why I buy the airframe kit. |

is it possible to run a power 15 with 1300mah lipos. I just bought a bunch of 1300mah lipos and i have the itch to upgrade the motor. I need more speed. Can somebody that has tested some cheap motor/esc/prop/1300mah setups help me on this. thanks guys

How is this? I changed the ESC to 30amp and put this 9x5 3 blade on it. I will test fly it and see if I like the 3 blade. Don't want more speed, I am too old for too much speed, brain won't keep up anymore. LOL I fly out of my back yard and land on grass. I laid out old carpet for take off strip. I am thinking about making a take off dolly like the U-C speed planes use. I guess some people still fly the U-C speed planes. I am thinking maybe I can make the dolly look like Wildcat gear.

If you decide you want a prop that's just a little more aggressive, you could try the Corsair/T-28 3-blade, PZK1015 (9 x 7.5). I think it's perfect.

Great pics of the 'cat Loyd!
As usual, your photographer has done a great job in catching the Wildcat in flight How many batteries did you fly through her? I'm back to using 1300mAh and I'm getting a solid 10 minutes out of each flight...![]() Happy Veterans day my brother and to all those who have served.... |

I ran two 1300's through the cat. As you can see I had Jordan with Me . We took four planes out with us and of course I started and ended with the Wildcat |
