You can reverse the two end wires on the potentiometer and also flip the power wires on the motor. I do this with servos so I don't have to use a reverser.

Its not really too hard if you can solder well.

There's no pot on the retracts, just two SMD push buttons that the bar pushes on at the limits.
You could cut the traces and green-wire them to achieve the same result (and reverse the motor of course).

I am pretty sure they are designed for the HET F-16, and could probably be adapted to any 1/12 ish F-16 or similar.

I bought the HK Turnigy retracts for 70mm F-16
My first set - all 3 units heated up after several cycles and stopped working. I returned them and just got my second set. 2 of the 3 stopped working. At first they worked pretty good. But just stopped working after the 4th cycle. I have my endpoint adj. to +/-150% . This time around the units didn't heat up just stopped working.
Are these units junk? Any recommendation on comparable unit? This will be going on the Blitzwork banana hobby F-16 70mm.

Check your BEC voltage at the servo plug in end with a digital voltage meter

Ok got the fluke and measured the voltage on the receiver (servo plug in) - 5.4volts. Esc is dynam 50amp with built in BEC 4 amp running a 4cell lipo.

Tried another esc and same thing. 2 of the 3 don't work. As a matter of fact when I connect all 3 on the 3 way connector - the one that does work stopped working. I connected directly to the receiver and now the one that worked is working. Are the units from HK are PZs?

HK has multiple types, the one in the link are PZs with lander gear on them.

Did you use the 3 way connector on all of the ones that didn't work?

Make sure end points are at 100% (or +) both ways

Initially I used the 3 way connector and all three worked for a few times. After that only 1 of the 3 worked. I connected each one directly to the reciever and still only 1 of 3 works.
I tried endpoints at 100% and at 150% +/- - I'm going to just give up and order a new set from toysonic since they are located in the US. I hate wating 3 weeks for parts. I'll just eat the 52 bucks because I need the landing gear.
Dont know to go with PZs or Changesun. Any recommendations?

Well, I ordered some PZs from Toysonic and came in within a few day. Tested the 3 units.... they work GREAT! I had bad luck with HK. I'm going to eat the 48 bucks from HK retracts because I need the landing gear and wheels.
Thanks Tia for your help.

LMAO... I thought it was weird your name was Aunt... Tia in Spanish means aunt.

I'm going to order some pc board and motors from pw-rc to repair the other set of retracts. That will be my backups.
Thanks Aunt. LOL
