I do not know how long you ran it but my guess is it would settle to about ~650 after say 15 seconds. The thing you have to watch for at these higher watts is runaway heat situation, meaning the heat is generated faster than it can dissipate. If you keep the WOT runs to 15 seconds or so then run at reduced throttle right afterwards to cool it off that will help it greatly. Basically fly it like we use to have to fly inrunners. After you land, it is amazing how much temps drop if you run at 1/4 throttle for 15-20 seconds.

These newer high C lipos really pump out the juice! The Evader is s great flying model, my only issue with it is the fuselage needs to be stronger in some areas as mine got chips in it from landing stresses.
