Looks like everything is there. A bit crude, but enough there for an experienced refurb-man to have a fine craft.Price is OK for now ,we'll see.

That old Controlaire may no longer be legal, due to bandwidth and frequency changes by the FCC, but, if so, would decrease the required receiver batteries & their weight. Looks like those bars are for ballast, though, so weight is probably not a consideration, although if would be nice to hide the gear below the floor if you wanted to add interior details, as have some masterful craftsmen on the scale boats forum.

It appears that those bars are sealed lead acid batterys.

Oh, that is guaranteed!! The radio's gotta' go. Makes a nice display or museum piece though.

Try old style NiCads. Acutally had a few like that bought at a surplus store (when surplus really was mil surplus / castoffs) back around '69-70 or so.... Didn't work very well so I swapped them out for a miniature wet (lead/acid) battery made in England for the hobby market. Had to heck the acid levels in the cells and everything just like the big ones . (The local hobby shop carried a lot of English stuff to cater to the local model boaters back in the day.)
