Asking $ is one thing. Getting $ is another.

The one immediately above has real potential. There's a lot undone, not that terribly much badly done. It's re-doing the badly done things that can be so time-consuming on these models.

Indeed, the second model is more reasonable but still strangely over priced ( at least in our context ).

On a positive note, if more and more folks dig these out, and if the prices level at $200 - $300 for non-basket cases ( I wish ), it could mean the rescue of a great number of great old models.

I think you're right, Tim. I have noticed lately more of these very desirable old models coming out of the woodwork (and attics and basements) and appearing on eBay. I think some people are realizing that they will probably not get around to building these models, and want to get something out of them before they deteriorate further. It is a good buying opportunity for the patient model shopper with a little money set aside.

Or maybe they follow along here on RC Groups and see that there are people out there who may pay big bucks for some of these older models.

The American consumer is a lazy, stupid leech - Not an uncommon perception among the American business classes.

How true. The 99% are doomed and when we are gone then the 1% will be much better off.

Lindberg Sportfisherman Vintage, ebay

I can't post listing so I hope somebody else does, on ebay currently. $750.00. I think I'll start collecting those.

Old Uncle Al again ...

This was for sale for a while unbuilt, $650.00 ( )

Now, apparently built for a total of $750.00 before shipping. ( )

Think I'll wait.
