Well considering that the model looked fairly built, in pretty good shape for its age and it came with an assembled and (probably) broken-in Stuart D10 steam engine and both a twin tube burner and a 'roarer,' maybe not such a bad deal after all. She'll probably clean-up really nicely with some TLC and detailing.

A bit pricy yes, but not totally out of the ball-park.

Now whomever got it will just need to fabricate a boiler for her and do the plumbing and they'll have a nice steamer for a bit more than what we'd probably spend anyway from the box, but without about a third the time or less.

mostly complete CORVETTE fittings set, plus another set of fittings from another Sterling kit.

I can only make out a few items missing from the Corvette set with one being the froward strut which wont matter if building RC. Another item that is missing in one pic is included in the other pic.
