Stripped my T-Rex helicopters and put the FPV gear on the new Gaui 330X S quad Flyer. This one is superb for FPV. Its so stable that your able to enjoy the Scenery more.

Awesome!, the "S" looks so stable... what battery, weight and gyro gain did you use please?

not much on attitude stability but it floats away with the wind..

The most disturbing factor in copters are the vortex, when you desent vertically over your turbolent air created by your propellers.. that's not nice, you have to do it very slowly or descend with forward movement.

My Uavx Octo desends alot smoother then my Quad did, but then again it does everything smoother.

The quad flyer feels very stable but it does 'wag' when coming downward. It's not very sensitive to wind. I was out today in 7 m/s and didnt notice att all. The FPV gear was fixed to a custom aluminium stand and the cam and tx where powered by a 11.1V 360mAh lipo. This weight doesnt affect the flying. There was no problem lifting a heavy HD handycam but this did affect the flying somewhat more. I havnt played around with the gain very much.

Not counting the FPV gear and the Go Pro camera, it is about $1000 but you have to build it and program it. I feel it is well worth it.
