Foam Safe Glue
Does anyone know of a glue that is safe to use on EPS foam and still allowyou to hotwire it. I have CNC foam cutter and would like to be able to cut panels that are thicker then I can purchase foam in. As such I am looking for a way to join the sheets. I have been able to use hot glue, but this requires me to know where the wire will not cut on both sides. While this is not a major problem, it would be nice to be able to just 'blindly' join the sheets together as a whole and then cut them at a later date. I am going to trya few more idea and see how they work.

Any glue line will alter the melting characteristics of the foam at least a little.
A very light spraying with 3M77 (the old foam compatible formula) will probably have the least effect.
If you can determine the places where the wire cut will pass through the joint before joining the panels, you can mask off a thin strip on each panel before applying the adhesive so that the wire doesn't actually pass through glue. This method will allow the use of any foam compatible glue.
