I figure that when I get the bollard on, the line will drop between the uprights and make for a very easy tow.
That is also why there are so many controls on this boat.
This print is 1 of the preliminary ones.

I draw my own schematics by hand. Yours look so nice, are you using a computer to make them?

Thanks, all my drawings are Auto cad. I've been an on/off engineer for over 40 years and have used cad for the last 21. One job I was the lead r/d engineer. I would draw it, then go to the machine shop and make the prototype. Last job I was head of electrical engineering. Officially my title would be electro-mechanical engineer, but here I'm manager for Polk's Hobby & LMP still do design work for Polk's, LMP, and Aristo-craft. I also have JSG Designs and do free lance work. All the editions to the houses on my block I designed, including my own.
That drawing took me about 35 minuets.

I've worked with electronics going back to vacuum tubes but I've always been amazed looking at a big circuit board with a zillion things on it how they manage to lay out all the traces without shorting the whole mess out. Ah, computers.

There are programs that help with the lay out and will notify you if there is a possible short.
That and the new boards are multi layer.

Well to continue the build. I did manage to get the railings and exhaust stacks done Saturday evening. I also started working on the windshield wiper. The wiper servo and the servo to rotate the spots will be made to look like marine radios. The next time I run her I am going to try the 60mm props.

Thanks I just wish I had more time to work on it.
I said It before "IF IT WORKS ON THE FULL SIZE, IT'S WORKS ON THE MODEL"
Besides when I built my Dusseldorf my wife was mad becouse I had working wipers in the company boat and not on mine. So I'll make her happy and have 1 BIG wiper on this one.

Looks like it is a cabin wiper... And it's on high speed.

.

I was thinking about wiper style also when I saw the picture of your setup.
What type of blade were you planning on applying to that arm.
And trying to imagine how it might sweep back and forth and stay vertical....
Or whether it would just clear an arc... and what you might use as a wiper blade...

I wanna see you spray some water on the windshield and see if your wiper blade needs replacing.

I could put on a water spray, that's an easy one. My Dusseldorf pumps 300 gph through 10 deck fan sprays and 75 gph through the 3 fire monitors.
I tried having a wiper on the models, but if the wiper touches you end up with scratches on the windshield.

What about a real glass front windscreen?
Probably a little big for microscope slides....
Oversized slides are 2"x 3"....
