The wings may not flex a lot, but there will be some flex on the wing dowels which may allow the wings to move out and back on the fuselage very slightly in flight. Aside from that, a short direct linkage is better than a long one any day.

I understand what you are saying. Also I know for a fact that it is easier to make and break electrical connections when removing/installing the wings than the mechanical linkage connections.

I'm convinced(hard I know) I will use the servos in the wings.

Bob or Wayne:

Does the set of ribs Tony will be cutting include the first four 1/16" ply ribs from with wing root on each side and the elevator ribs?

The reason I ask is I am finishing my materials list and will need to order more 1/16" ply if they are not. (I will have an Excel spread sheet if anyone wants a copy - but it may not be complete until next week - too many great college football games on today and I have a RC sailboat race tomorrow)

(No response yet from Tony to confirm the order or how to pay)

Just got a reply from Tony. Bad news if you want ribs for a fully sheeted wing.

He does not have the program for the fully sheeted wing finished yet and with his new job that entails traveling, he may not be able to ship them until mid-October....and there is an additional up charge for the new program, bringing the total with shipping to $82.95 So much for the group purchase savings

This is not a deal breaker for me, but YMMV.

He is traveling allot so it maybe some time before he gets them cut...

Ordered mine tonight. I will chime in when I get them - hopefully in time for the start date but Oct isn't looking good as far as building time due to work schedule.

Tony here

Hello all!!

So, this is Tony Elliott here - the laser cutter. It is Saturday the 18th and I am at my PC doing the work for the fully sheeted rib set. I should have it completed in about an hour.

The discounts I offered were because the CAD work had already been completed for the D-Box version. The fully sheeted wing set required changes in Compufoil and then transfering to CAD and placement for cutting - a good three hours of work. Note that I only charged $18 for that work and since only one person wanted the fully sheeted version, that person got to pay the whole $18! Sorry foamcrusher, it's the way the cookie crumbles I'm afraid. If there had been more wanting the fully sheeted version, I could have parsed out the $18 charge.

I have 4 orders for 5 sets of ribs and I will get the 5 sets cut by tomorrow because I am back on the road again Monday.

BDOG1 just placed a request for a set also and I am willing to get this set cut BUT, I do not have sufficient material in stock to make that happen before October 1st. I am traveling again from Monday thru Sept 30th and will not be able to get this last set cut for your group build timing.

You know, today must be a charitable day. Foamcrusher, I will refund you the $18 change fee.

Thanks, Tony. I saw the refund pop up in my email and could not understand what it was for.
