bri23520- yes, our shipping prices are frequently pretty random. We were warned about USPS software, but didn't believe the horror stories we heard. Now I believe. If you want something, drop me an email at killerplanes@gmail.com and we'll make it happen-

Sammy70- The Crashproofing kit for the Dynam A-10 weighs about 140g with the glue- the A-10 in our yootoob vid has it installed, so you can see it flying. The plane has lasted through LOADS (20 plus) of "minor" crashes (under 20MPH) and well over a dozen major ones, like the 70+MPH direct hit on a steel guy wire- still going strong over a year later!

Have been in touch with Steve and ordered a crash proof kit.

Will fit it to my second A10 as the first one is a bit battered.

4s on stock ESC?

Check your ESC's to make sure they read the higher stats and you should be good to rock 4S off the bat.
He stated a couple of 2s batteries setup in parrallel. He must have mean in series. I just checked my stock ESCs. They are the black DETRUM 40amp 2-6s lipo. 4s is running these 64mm now, but in my home built F22.

Added some red highlights to help with orienation and finished it all off with a few coats of DULL coat and it looks tons better in my opinion. Had to get a pilot in the office as well.

Having flown the old GWS A-10 a ton I'm familar with the amount of "UP" elevator these A-10s need for normal flight.

Well, I dialed in about 3mm of UP but 4-5mm would have been better as....... She ALMOST bit the ground just after the hand launch If it weren't for being on high rates and 1000w on tap I think she would have hit the ground. As it was she leveled off literally about 3" off the deck and flew out fine. About 4 clicks of elev. trim and she was tracking great. Cruise nicely and WOT is in the 60-70mph range easy.

Sadly my cameraman was absent due to sickness, but I did snap a couple "before" shots on the ground...

Long live the Hog...
Nice Job Sammy!
I like your added red highlight accents, looks familiar. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=401

Thanks RugFlyer.

I had the same red accents on my old GWS A-10 so I just had to duplicate it on this new one...

There's a new one at Nitroplanes: 10% off everything. I just order the A-10 ARF with 4 batteries.

This will be my first to fly of the EDF's. I have the F-18 and F-15, but haven't flown them. I think the the A-10 will be a good step towards the faster EDF's.

I thought it was Sat night, but it was reall Sun night the end of the superbowl.
Looks like the 10% is still working today though! Maybe they forgot to take it down?

There's also one on an A10, it's the Gray one only though. Tried it on the Green one before I tried the one that was supposed to be expired.

Engine problem

I received my Dynam A-10 today from Nitroplanes. Before assembly I checked the engines. Only one will run. The right engine that won't run is also beeping. See video: http://youtu.be/UyE_FrlHuk4

Suggestions?

Hi XSSSIVE
had the same problem. Finally had some good weather last weekend and finally was able to maiden my A-10. Before taking it to the field I did a power test and had the same problem you describe. What I did was switch the wire attachements from the esc to the dud motor ( mine non working and beeping engine was the left one). Ok, even though the wires are colour coded with heat shrink, what I found was that the colour coding wasn't correct. Switiching the connections finally resulted in the engine working properly.
