hi all

i fly a robbe eolo and i was wondering if anyone on here knows where i could find a four bladed rotor head for my heli? and or some scale blades. it is larger than a 450 but smaller than a 500.

What diameter is the main shaft ?

it is 6mm in diameter and i am using 380mm blades

so no one knows of a rotor head which could fit it

Are you sure it is 6 mm ... most 400's are 5 mm . and there are a ton of heads for that size ..

You could buy the 450 trex head and bore the hub out to 6mm if it is for sure 6mm and can handle a reamer .

i was considering getting a 450 rotor head im just worried about the blades i use 380mm they are made for 325.

Usually when you go multi blades you go a little smaller any how ... so 325 probably would be about right or worth trying .

The only other thing you could do to make sure the head is beefy enough is to buy a 500 size (8mm ) and then make a bushing down to 6 mm shaft size !!!!!

If you go the 450 size I would suggest ,,DON"T get the lighting heli one or the heli artist .... get the copter X or aerodyne one as the others are really made cheap (cheap metal and construction )

ok i will get a HK 4 bladed head and try that. hopefully, but if not i will get a 500 sized and make it fit.

You will have better luck down sizing a 500 then making a 450 head bigger.Because not only will you have to inlarge the hole size of the head block ,but also the swash lock and the swashplate hole size. Just a few things to think about.

how will i go about making the 500 head smaller then?

With brass or aluminum tubing and red loctite to keep it in placeon the head block and swashlock. On the swash itself you maybe able to remove your bearing from your swash and install it in the new heads swash or adapt your complete swash to work with the new head by drilling and tapping another ball hole ( that is if you are running a 4-blade head ) but you may not have the tools to do this , I don't know that. My 500 head has a 8mm shaft so the tubing would have to be 1mm thick material and then drill your holes for head bolt and setscrews on swashlock and loctite. Hope this helps out a little bit.

if you have successful to make the 500 head fit your mechanic . i can offer you a set scale narrow blades . it is made by plastic and mix with carbon , but it can cut down to your length . :http://www.smartmodel.com.hk/product...0&third_id=157
