I doubt I will ever experience a single one of those places in person.

Wow... I actually thought that vid was pretty cool, (I watched the whole thing), even though it was basically a commercial for Stride gum. That guy must have had a lot of fun!

This is where living in the boonies of the Central US and not watching television puts me at a disadvantage. I don't believe I've ever seen an ad for Stride gum, so that has no referential meaning for me.

However, YouTubing "Stride Gum" led me to Dancing Matt. And I found this:

That first shot (also the ending location) has a pucker factor of about 1,000,000,000 for me!

Wow, that takes guts to dance on top of a rock like that. You could put me on a 15" square, and I could dance within that square no problem. But put that square on a solid rock 1000 meters in the air, and I'd lose my balance and fall.

I had no idea it was a "commercial" until I saw the credits. It seems to take something away, when I thought it was a guy who did all that on his own, but now I find out it's all a publicity ploy. It's still a cool vid, but not as cool now that I know who paid for it.

With my luck, I'd step out there, and that loose bolder wedged between those sheer faces would grind down just enough to finally fall through that crack... Or there would be an earthquake... SOMETHING would cause that rock to finally fall out of that wedged-in spot.

Then again, I couldn't dance like that in the middle of a football field at ground level.

So.... there are these 33 Chilean miners who are trapped a half-mile below ground, and they likely won't get rescued for another couple months.

I wonder if they'll get a lot of overtime pay?
