I'm about to disassemble my laptop. If you don't hear from me by tonight, then you know that I've broken something and need to buy a new computer.

Oh, wow! I can't stop chuckling.

An AVA did that on launch. Suspected radio failure sent it into a nosedive from 30' on the winch. The center panel was shattered and crushed, but everything else survived. The Rx and sevos will be thoroughly checked before the wing arrives.

You THINK it is? Since it's not an imaginary number, I'd say it really is!

Success!! I had to replace the hinges on the laptop screen. It's been wobbly for some time now, and I bought replacement hinges a long time ago but never got around to putting them in. This morning one of the hinges cracked when I opened the lid, so I had no choice but to open her up. And of course, despite being very careful, I have one screw left over. There's no way I'm going to open everything up again. It's only one itty bitty screw, so it won't hurt anything, right?

I'm not sure, but I think I might have heard "Hey, watch this" moments before the plane decided it wanted to dig a tunnel.

Here we go. Photos have been uploaded. I'm not gonna type much, I'm eating the best ribs ever. EVER.

City, that salmon was GOOD. Thanks! When you come over to check out the Ranger, I'll put something on.

Oh...oh no. Those ribs don't look properly cooked at all, I know of a place that'll dispose of them safely. I'll be over shortly to take them away to prevent any gastronomical disaster. For repayment of taking them away, you will be required to provide milk and cookies.

I was flying a Speedo slope soarer with a power pod. The other was a Passer.
I'm just glad you photographed my better side!!

I took i fabulous 2 hour nap after morning flying and then lunch. Upon waking I headed out to Coyote hills for some very very marginal lift...and I showed up after 4pm so that's the best possible time. The first hour was spent in full camber floating around at eye level. It picked up a bit for some actual turning and very mild climbing. However, the weather was so gorgeous and the place was totally empty, and enjoying a shirtless afternoon with close-quarters flying in low-sunlight was phenominal. Just like a movie but without any music. It was a completely enjoyable time...until the plane went into the glare of the sun and reflection off the water and then clipped a rock outcropping. The wing bolt broke only after it tore through the wing sheeting a couple inches. I made a bad decision and joined the wings with tape. Up to now every landing knocked the wings loose (by design) and I bypassed that feature. Totally repairable...just need time. Maybe join the wing halves for good and fiberglass the entire LE sheeting and root? hmmm

Ouch.

It does look fixable. Call Dominic, he'll set you straight.

ETA: the ribs have already been properly disposed of. I'm off to a job interview tomorrow. Wish me luck!

So, what should you have joined the wings together with then if not tape? Do you mean you should have done something stronger, or nothing at all? I think you would need something, \........me confused?

sucks about the wing, But I know you really did not care to much for the plane. LOL. Did you fly the 60? Or the Passer?
