You can still get one new from A2Z (Tim Goldstein, who bought out Peck Polymers, when Sandy retired), for about $55. Be interesting to see if this one goes past what a new one would cost. I see that a LOT. Brainless fools.

People pay stupid amounts for things on eBay. Here's one, for example. I wonder what the final price will end up being? At least he's offering free shipping on the item!

That's dumb. I'm surprised eBay hasn't made him pull the listing.

People pulling similar stunts through the mails have been charged with mail fraud in the past.

I've seen auctions for things like:

1. Mystery- what's in my couch? Winner of auction will receive everything I find when I clean under the cushions of my couch.
2. My girlfriend dumped me. I'm emptying out the drawer she had in my dresser. Winner will get it all. Items will be a surprise to you and to me, since I'm not sure what all she had in there.
3. Real ghost. Winner will receive one glass jar, sealed with wax blessed by a priest. The jar contains a real ghost that was haunting my basement. I recommend that you don't break the wax seal.

The crazy thing was that people were bidding serious amounts of money for this stuff!

I just recently deleted it, but some clown was selling some pencils. They were a real good pencil, when they were sold through office supply stores and such (I can't think of the name off the top of my head). They were black painted, and had an odd-shaped eraser, kind of a flattened shape to the ferrule and a rectangular eraser on the end.

I've used them in the past, and they were very nice pencils. Very smooth. This guy was selling one brand new one and three that had been partially used (one looked like it was only about 1/3rd the original length). I couldn't believe it when the winning bid turned out to be over $30! For four used pencils!

Shoot, Cap'n... Pinky's got 30 YEARS to go to Retirement.

Between an ex-wife and some bad career decisions, I've probably got about that long to go, too. At this point, I'm hoping one of my kids wins the lottery and sets ME up with a trust fund allowance.

I could use a vacation. Maybe after the Holidays. It will depend on what they base our vacation pay on, too.
