I am unable to open this in Photoshop 7.
Says it is an invalid file.
Does anybody know why?

Thank You,
Joe

I'm not a Photoshop user and need to ask, will photoshop open an Adobe PDF file?

I just opened it successfully in Adobe Acrobat and Reader.

Gimpshop will, but you need to install the Ghostscript postscript converter.

Might be something similar required for Paintshop?

It opens in PSE 9, so I will assume PS will open it as well. Don't know about PS7. It could have something to do with the version of Acrobat the file was created in/with.

Opens fine for me in Photoshop CS3.

Simplest solution is to go get GIMP for free. Use that as a file converter for all troublesome files. GIMP opens everything, far as I can tell. Save your file out of GIMP as (say) an uncompressed TIF, then open that in turn in Photoshop. Works everytime, for me. That process also removes ReadOnly password protection from PDF files. Very handy.

GIMP opens files that Photoshop CS3 cannot.

Edit: Yes. Photoshop opens PDF files.

I use photo shop to open pdfs all the time. On older versions you have to use import I believe. In CS5.1 I just use open command.

Thanks Guys, I forgot about GIMP. I loaded a while back, used it once or twice to open a pesky file or two and forgot about it.

Half -hiemers, what a joy to remember half the stuff half the time.

What was I talking about ? ? ?

GIMPS PDFs and half-heimers

The only thing I understood about that entire "filament" was that
most us us can't remember half the stuff we have on our computers,
much less how to use it !

But I'm pretty sure that's why we have 8-year olds.

Happy New Year all............uuhhhh......what year

Howard DGA-8 dimescale from Peerless

Was poking through the 1990's INAV file looking for something else when, in the Sept. 1995 issue, I saw this dime scale DGA-8 from Peerless. I think the wing span is supposed to be 15 inches. I don't know what size this will print out at, in Paint it looks huge. If I shrink it, it gets a bit fuzzy.

If you want to look through old INAV's yourself, here's where:
http://indoornewsandviews.wordpress.com/downloads/
Mostly it's non-scale stuff, but here and there you will find scale plans, bostonians, nocals, etc. There's a cute little bipe called Shatzie, I think in April 93. Would love to see a picture of the full scale.

Ouch! It should be in the vicinity of 11X17, but not exactly.
