Talking to a friend about Sterling Kits...did Sterling do a Piper PA-12 of around 36" span?....seem to recall a distant memory somewhere.

If so...does anyone have it?

Regards

I know Berkeley did, as well as a Stinson Voyager, Fairchild Ranger, Aeronca Sedan, and a Colonial Skimmer (predecessor to the 'Lake Amphibian') all with 36" wings for rubber power (exept the Colonial Skimmer), free flight gas, or control line gas. The plans show up on e-bay from time to time, but the parts templates are harder to find.

Yes Pit, that must be the one, thanks for posting this image....nice aircraft shown there including I see a Stinson and a Citabria of similar dimensions plus a nice little Fokker DR-1.

All would make lovely 'Park Flyers' with today's modern radio and electric power.

I do have the SR-8 in that series stashed away. Nice thing about the Sterling plan is that they include all the sheetwood patterns on the plan, so you could build one fromthe plan only.

Grumman F6F Hellcat

Here's another from a not too common company.
32 inch Hellcat from Cadet models.
Very large plan, I put the printwood on a separate sheet.
The JPG still has some background clutter. I cleaned it up in the PDF.

It was a bit difficult to scan because it's split by the binding and I couldn't get to the edges without harming the magazine, so I had to realign and fill in. Nice that the former & rib spacing is shown on the plan, but but be sure to check alignment at the "Plan Joint" marks before cutting balsa.

In almost four month and more then 100,000 views, has any one built from plans in this thread?
I have actually built two models from plans in this thread, a 1950 Smeed Tomboy and a 1941 Cloud Craft Mercury.
I know two Patrollia Cobras are in the works

Has any one else built from plans in this thread?
