A damn shame you don't have that Cumulus kit plan to scan and upload for posterity...
...as it is more rare than rocking horse poop and hen's teeth ! ![]() http://www.oldmodelkits.com/index.php?detail=12981 Keven.

Has anyone seen or come across plans for a Bestetti-Nardi BN:1 There was a build of one in my most current Model aviation magazine you get with your AMA license. It's really cool looking and I think it would make a great RC version. They have them or sale for $9 in the mag but if I could find them somewhere free that would be great.

Good morning to all our friends for here is a new day.
The thing about plans happen is very complex and difficult for many of us. ( WMD - pd1 - Planeman - Hlsat etc.) My own proposal to those who deal with it without being misunderstood. All projects published to be signed by the managers of labor. What are the reasons for this. 1) It is a great injustice to devote great time from someone like us to sit endless hours in front of the computer to fix and repair a plan and not have some recognition against others who offer nothing. Simply exploit all ready. 2)Consider unfair a plan in which I took my eyes to the screen to fix it to get someone and then sells it online with money. I will plans as allowed under the copyright must be free movement. 3)I want friends who enjoy the projects to know who has devoted much time for it. 4)Finally there I want some stupid to consider me for what I do. Above you wrote Steve a difficult way to escape the exploiter of our work. So I think no offense that is a great way to combat such situations. Example within the plan. 1)Scanned by name ( George ) 2)Restored or Cleaning by name ( Elijah ) 3)In large letters the plan is FREE. Wait these findings, and your answers. The scanning an easy job but the repair is very difficult with long working hours. For good results need teamwork with understanding. Elijah Greece. |

More blah blah blah...
OK - so I may have been a little overenthusiastic about the rarity of a certain plan...
![]() ...but my point still stands, Newtmagick is not going to upload that plan we were all waiting to see - whatever plan it is - and however long we wait ![]() Quote:
"US" ? ![]() You acknowledge that only those modellers who go by the 4 member names above ( which, coincidentally - includes YOURSELF ! )... ...are capable of executing a "very complex and difficult" procedure ? That's rubbish. That rules out lots more modellers than only me. It is not very complex and difficult, either. Systematic - time-consuming - yes... With regard your above suggestion. Adding names to plans. Scanning, restoring... that's rubbish - and you know it is... Pointless as well - since your name is on digital plans that you had no hand in creating. As Captain Dunsel sensibly commented - a name can be removed. No more difficult than adding one. I don't want credit for my uploads. Were that the case - I could have added my name to plans - but that is unnecessary. There are plans within this thread that I have scanned and have been uploaded as a result of my sending them to other modellers. Some will know the plans I refer to - others will not - it does not matter. I pieced together that Taxi plan from a 'poor scan' sent to me by a fellow modeller. I did not scan the plan. What difference does it make - who scanned the plan ? My earlier comments were about claiming credit. The wing was not properly scanned - I fixed it and put it back where it should be with respect to the other parts of the plan. I spent hours making it complete - and I still have the sequence of files in a computer. When doing that kind of thing, I save in stages - and do not delete anything... ...so I can follow the paths I have taken when next I try it. Your upload of the Taxi plan - against the one I originally uploaded: The lines are bolder - and you included your 'legend'. NEITHER 'modification' was necessary... ![]() That hardly warrants the claim "cleaning and digitisation by". Doing something - whatever you feel like doing... ...just so that you can stick justify adding your 'monika' to a plan - is just, well... Adding "this plan is FREE" - that's another dubious idea "This plan was downloaded FREE from"... - include your favourite URL. That's a better addition, but even then - that can ALSO be removed... So - we are back to the crux of all this, which is - whether it be unscrupulous sellers on the interbay... ...or modellers with similar morals within the online modelling forums. Honesty - and integrity...! Keven.
